Terminal Mirage Project is David Maisels aerial photos from Great Salt Lake in Utah , USA. The colours in the photos is not normal for aerial photos of the landscape. They are caused by both organic reasons and because the lake is polluted by poison. In some of the aerial photos you can se Robert Smithsons "Spiral Jetty".

Farverne i fotografierne er ikke skabt via brug af Photoshop, da fotografen har taget billederne direkte fra en helikopter uden bearbejdning bagefter. Farverne er skabt af både organiske forekomster i søen og forurening med giftstoffer.
